In this workshop you will use EFT ‘tapping’ and some light somatic practices to increase your tolerance for the more uncomfortable feelings associated with the human experience so that you can create space for more pleasurable feelings.

 

About EFT ‘tapping:’

​

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also sometimes called tapping, is a gentle but highly effective type of somatic therapy used to relieve painful emotions and self-defeating patterns. It also deactivates triggers associated with distressing experiences and memories. Practitioners stimulate specific points (called acupoints) on the body by tapping on them while the client thinks about a particular issue. This technique neurologically and energetically rewires your brain’s stress response so that you no longer feel hijacked by emotional reactivity.

Who is this workshop for?

​

Just about everyone over the age of 18. Beginners to EFT ‘tapping’ or experienced practitioners are welcome! Please note that we may be seated on floor cushions depending on the size of the group.

A note on safe working:

​

If you have trauma or intense unresolved feelings about certain experiences (for example a recent bereavement), please practice discernment and consider whether you would be better served by 1-to-1 work. This will be a safe space without shame or judgement yet it’s important to bear in mind that it may be difficult to sufficiently tend to guests who need extra assistance due to the group nature of this workshop.

About Kristin:

Kristin Panasewicz is an Integrative Therapist who mainly works with EFT ‘tapping’ but integrates somatic practices into her work to help discharge stored trauma or emotions. She specialises in treating shame and trauma. Her practice is called Yew Tree Integrated Healing.
